A point on Christmas: it was, like Easter, a Pagan Festival, which is still known to Pagans as Winter Solstice (shortest day) & Midsummer’s Solstice (longest day) is in August. Don’t know about the USA but in UK Pagans congregate at Stonehenge & other historical places to celebrate the event!
Modern day Christmas was brought to England from Germany by queen Victoria’s husband (and 1st cousin) Albert who started decorating what we know as the Xmas Tree. We have the Victorians to thank & even today in Germany they have huge Christmas markets.
All I know of European Pagan America is the Salem Witches Trials & hangings. Yes! Pagans have had a tough ride!

Pagans still celebrate these events at Stonehenge & other Stony locations.
