A wide angle zoom

I use Canons also.Started out with an F1,AE1,when I started back in the 70s when I was in school.Don’t shoot with anything else.Love the way they handle,and the new digital ones are great.But I still like to shoot with film every now and then too.
We have 3 T’s and a 70 and and 3 old compact flash canon along with about a dozen other makes of digital camera plus several older film camera to work with.
The 18 to 135 lens is our best and most expensive lens because it allows us to get up within a few feet and get a full body shot. The strictly wide angle lens we have tend to make the body look strange when as close as we can get with the 18-135

I know,wide angles are great for a lot of things but can distort the body like a fun house mirror up close.But I love my old cameras to shoot b/w.Still develope my own film too.
Thats why we are using the lens instead of the pure wide abgle.
Film not used much anymore.
