Saw enormous queues at American polling stations last night on TV. Must put some people off?
I’ve never seen queuing at British polling booths before. I’ve always just gone in, voted, & left.
It makes good tv…One of my friends ended up waiting 3 hours to vote! Another 90 minutes. Fortunately I timed it well and didn’t wait at all.

I am kind of wondering how you were attired when you went to the polling place. If you were what you are in these photos, I can understand how you voted so quickly. In my case, I voted by mail and glad I did. In my neck of the woods, some people stood in line for over four hours to exercise their right.
Wow! Four hours! Being able to vote is an important right.
