Regarding the recent hacking incident I’ve often wondered why some people: computer hackers, politicians, religious leaders, public figures etc have this compulsive need to control & regulate the lives of others. They, in truth, are control freaks projecting their inadequacies, guilt & inhibitions on the rest of us!
I can visualise these hacking Nerds now sitting in front of their computers convinced they’re our moral guardians, their personalities wooden, inflexible & so pious!
I agree, Joyce, the more liberal the society, the more Conservative it becomes! It’s that very liberalism that allows them to criticise, sure! But criticism should never reach the stage where society at large gives in to their every prejudice & preference! This would contradict the meaning of a free society. Human beings can & should be self regulatory & political moral policing never helped anyone!
