I don’t know L.A too well but I do remember the actual city not bigger than London’s square mile between Aldgate- Bishopsgate. I recall Olympic Boulevard as a mainly shopping precinct with markets which reminded me very much of Algate market but not as long as Petticoat Lane. Hollywood & Sunset Boulevard is very wealthy and populated, but on the other side of the Bowl it seemed a little quieter.
Going south past Aneheim there were lots of distant hills & suburbs on the freeway toward San Diego- reminded me of Spain’s Malaga a bit which is also close to sea.
I know you gotta be careful with private land etc but a little mountain road offshoot would seem ideal? I know you have undressed in the street discreetly, but we need somewhere more out of sight- out of mind, I feel!
